Featured in golf monthly’s Must Play Courses, Hampton Court Palace Golf course has two tales to tell. At 6514 yards in length and par 71, the course has a parkland front nine and a contrasting links feel to the back nine, particularly with the breeze up. Course designer Willie Park, whose most famous creation was Sunningdale Old Course, did not create too many easy golf courses and Hampton Court Palace is no exception to this rule.   The course bares all Park’s design hallmarks, slightly raised greens with imaginative contours, gently undulating fairways, strategically placed bunkers and fairways flanked by flowering grasses during the summer months. It is from the preservation of this heritage, which the golfer will find so much more at Hampton Court Palace Golf Club.
